Role: Senior Design Manager and Designer

Skyscanner is a global leader in travel. With a vision to help every traveller explore the world effortlessly, for generations to come.

For three years, I was Senior Design Manager at Skyscanner. As part of Brand Experience Leadership, my role sat within the Marketing comms team, where I lead, nurtured and grew the team of creatives.

I covered everything from brand, social, display, campaign, partnerships and B2B communications.

Brand launch

I joined Skyscanner at the perfect time. Six months before the launch of their rebrand in 2018. I lead the team on the brand launch campaign. Fully executed by our team of in-house designers, writers and animators, the goal was simple, let the world know we’re changing how everyone plans, books and thinks about travel while creating a positive future that is bigger than ourselves.

As the world transitioned out of COVID lockdown, travellers were excited to get out into the world again but hesitant to book due to so many unknowns and perceived risks.

With the Skyscanner app, you're able to see all your options and narrow them down - so you can have the knowledge and confidence that you've picked what’s best for you.

Sub-brand for Skyscanners online and in-person event series, On Air. The brief was to name, design and launch the series.

As the world returned to travel, the brief was to encourage US Domestic flight booking by capitalising on the appetite for Domestic travel.

America in 5

Even though US travellers might have already made some travel plans, they still needed help adding on to and
amping up those itineraries. In collaboration with Content, SEO, Social, Merchandising, Lifecycle, Paid, Referral, PR and Localisation, our idea was to inspire travellers to step up their travel plans by showing them they can squeeze in more experiences than they think.
